“Analyze that!“: A Crash Course in People Reading, Free Workshop online, Sunday August 21, 7:30 PM EST

Interested in what handwriting says about personality? Wonder if there is anything to face reading? Curious about what Jewish wisdom might tell us about personality? This is my area of passion/preoccupation and obsession! Some local groups are trying to encourage people with areas of interest and knowledge to volunteer their expertise and do presentations. I'm, therefore, giving an illustrated lecture this Sunday at 7:30.

Event brief: ‘People reading’ facilitates professional and personal goals but many personality systems are dizzying. Let’s explore personality using a mystical lens and discover five root aspects of personality which we watch play out in ourselves and others. Ancient wisdom informs us as we see these types expressed in a myriad of ways, but we’ll focus on handwriting patterns (the domain of a European specialty called Clinical Graphology) and facial diagnosis from Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Annette Poizner, MSW, Ed.D., RSW, is a Columbia-trained social worker who completed a doctorate in counseling psychology at the University of Toronto. Her doctoral dissertation explored the use of graphology (handwriting analysis) within psychotherapy. She’s a therapist, a published author and a community educator and has studied Traditional Chinese Medicine and Jewish mysticism intensively, along with other wisdom traditions. She specializes in personality assessment and personality restructuring, often working with tenacious mental health challenges that have been refractory to treatment.
